Discover the Wisdom of Shiva.
Create Harmony in Your Living Space.

A journey inward through the teachings, symbols and sacred places of Lord Shiva — and a journey home, through Vastu Shastra and the timeless need for natural light and fresh air.

The two journeys

Inner stillness. Outer harmony.

Shiva is the still centre of Indian spiritual life — the yogi on Kailash whose third eye sees through appearances to what is real. Vastu Shastra is the ancient art of arranging the spaces we live in, so that sun, air, earth and water are in balance.

Shiv Trinetra brings these together. We present the teachings, stories and sacred places of Shiva with respect for tradition, and we explore Vastu alongside what modern building science tells us about daylight, ventilation and healthy homes — clearly distinguishing belief, scripture and evidence.

Symbols that teach

All symbols & meanings

The Third Eye

त्रिनेत्र · Trinetra

The third eye is widely read as the eye of insight — perception that sees past appearance to what is real. Two eyes see the world; the third sees through it. It is the inspiration for the name of this platform.

Trishul

त्रिशूल · Trident

Its three points are commonly interpreted as the three gunas (sattva, rajas, tamas), the three times (past, present, future), or creation, preservation and dissolution — all held by one hand.

Damru

डमरू · Hand drum

The drum stands for nada, primordial sound and rhythm: the pulse from which language, music and the manifest world unfold.

Nandi

नन्दी · The sacred bull

Nandi is the model of the waiting, attentive devotee — strength made calm by devotion. Many pilgrims whisper their prayers into Nandi's ear before entering the shrine.

Vastu Shastra & the Five Elements

The art of dwelling in balance

Vastu maps earth, water, fire, air and space onto the eight directions of a site — and keeps the centre open to the sky.

  • Earth South-west
  • Water North-east / North
  • Fire South-east
  • Air North-west
  • Space Centre (Brahmasthana)

Our core focus · Light & Air

A home that breathes, filled with daylight

Long before air-conditioning, Indian homes stayed bright and cool through courtyards, verandas, jaalis and carefully placed openings. Many Vastu principles echo this wisdom.

North lightsteady, glare-free daylight for work and study
Two openingsair needs a way in and a way out to move
West shadingthe low afternoon sun is the biggest heat source
East · sunrise West · sunset
